We have added today 2 new Shared roles in the US East region, 32- and 64bit version of Ubuntu 10.04 pre-configured to run and scale MySQL version 5.1.41. They are both EBS-based, and use the new Scalarizr as the Scalr agent.

It looks like the AMI (I tried 32 bit) has a severe bug.
The bug is that load average above 1.0 is shown constantly on idle server. It will probably hang and become non responsive after a while (according to the thread below) you can read about it here:

We need a solution as soon as possible. Please post if you have found a solution, otherwise it is not usable for production servers at the moment.
Any news on Mysql 5.1 AMIs for EU zone?
